Reader Reviews
Set after the violent Hunger Games, Catching Fire zooms in on Katniss's relationships with her family and friends. As the year progresses, however, hunger and famine enter her district and Katniss herself questions her existence. Slow to start, this book might seem like an average sequel, but the brilliantly paced end could only intrigue you more. Could the little spark influenced by Katniss become much more?
Catching Fire is the second book of the Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Set some six months after the end of the Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are required to take part in the Victory Tour through each of the Districts to keep the power of the Capitol and the consequences of rebellion uppermost in the minds of the people. Relations between Katniss and Gale Hawthorne are strained. There are some rumours of uprisings in the other districts. The repulsive President Snow gives Katniss an ultimatum. Once again, fast-paced and filled with action, Collins leaves the reader wanting more. Can't wait for Mockingjay
Catching FireThis is by far the best book i have read. This book keeps you on your toes and you stomach in a whirl. I have never been so addicted to a book before. i got this book on friday and stayed up until 1:00 in the morning reading this book. I finished it the next day. When im not reading it i can't stop thinking about the love Peeta has for Katniss , or how are they gonna make it out this time. So many unanswerd questions run through my head. The ending of this book is a great one and emidately i have to go out and get the third book , but of course the book is not out yet, forcing me to wait. This is a great book and i will suggest it to anyone in a heartbeatt. READ THIS BOOK!
