Variety reports that husband-and-wife authors Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman are writing a script for—and executive producing—a new HBO drama. Described as "offbeat," the project will follow "a motley group of conmen and magicians who use their skills at deception to battle Hitler and his forces during WWII."

This is the couple's first literary collaboration—previous joint projects were limited to their four children. Both have had solo writing projects adapted for the big screen, Chabon for Wonder Boys and the upcoming Yiddish Policemen's Union, and Waldman for The Other Woman.

No word yet on when the drama will premiere since it's still in the "early stages," but we'll be keeping an eye out. Intrigued?
