Happy Friday, readers!
Today I wanted to shine a light on a new series for all you fans of romance, women's fiction, good ole fashion love stories, historic preservation . . .
Nora Roberts' new book, The Next Always, is the Top Pick in the November romance column. (It came out on Tuesday.) While a new Nora Roberts book is an exciting thing, it is not necessarily an unusual occurrence; The Next Always is the author's fifth full-length release in 2011. However, The Next Always is a little different, a little special—because it's so closely related to the author's own life!
Here's a preview, from Christie Ridgway's romance column:
In The Next Always, Nora Roberts welcomes readers to the charming town of Boonsboro, Maryland, where the Montgomery family is restoring a historic hotel (and where Roberts owns an inn in real life). Architect Beckett Montgomery is immersed in the project, yet still has time to keep his eye on the object of his daydreams, widow Clare Brewster.
You can read more about the novel on BookPage.com, and learn about the real-life Inn BoonsBoro here. Also, watch this video of Roberts talking about how much the town of Boonsboro, Maryland, means to her—and what all in the book is based on the truth:
Do we have any Nora Roberts fans in the house? Will you be reading The Next Always? (By the way, it's book #1 in a trilogy!)
