Agatha Christie's meticulous detective Hercule Poirot returns in September 2014!
William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, announced plans this morning to publish the first-ever new Agatha Christie novel, fully authorized by the Christie estate, to be written by international best-selling author Sophie Hannah.
Christie first introduced Poirot in her 1920 debut, The Mysterious Affair at Styles. It has been 39 years since Poirot's final case, Curtain, and 38 years since Agatha Christie’s last novel, Sleeping Murder (1976).
Hannah is the author of eight chilling works of psychological crime fiction, including this year's Kind of Cruel. How do you feel about Hannah taking over the Christie legacy? Let us know in the comments below.
