Friday afternoon seems like the perfect time to mention that the second Jane Austen adaptation from producers Bernie Su and Hank Green (yes, the brother of John) has hit YouTube, and this time the source material is Jane Austen's Emma.
Titled "Emma Approved," the series follows a modern-day Emma Woodhouse (Joanna Sotomura), a young entrepreneur who attempts to improve people's lives as a lifestyle/romance coach. When her 20th matchmaking success story starts showing signs of going south, perfectionist Emma is determined to keep the couple together—despite the disapproval of Alex Knightly, her business partner. Check out the first episode:
What do you think? Will the new series be as popular as its Emmy-winning predecessor, "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries"?
